Today we jump together into a new Mod project in Providence, Rhode Island: a critical conversion from ISIS geared in a Machine in Pit MRL basement system. The severe space constraints of this 2-stop elevator were giving very hard time to ATLANTIC ELEVATOR SOUTH, struggling to find a traction machine able to fit the site while ensuring required lifting performance.

WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, TOUGH EXPERTISE GETS GOING
Elevator modernizations often face space or technical constraints that reduce or reset renovation options. For Atlantic project, alternatives were down to zero as no gear machines of similar type or size nor standard solutions were available on the market.

- Machine in Pit MRL basement installation
- Critical space constraints: overhead space just 25 inches while sheaves were almost touching the counterweight.
- Design challenges: extremely tight clearances on the bedplate, demanding absolute precision and custom engineering.
